The Department of Performing Arts is poised to deliver a first-rate arts program to its students.  We are concentrating our efforts on revising our kindergarten through third grade curriculum and using that data to guide program delivery and instruction.  Grade level expectations and assessments will be delivered to offer standardize teaching throughout the district.  The assessments will focus on the three artistic processes: create, respond and perform.

An initiative is being implemented to increase participation in our instrumental program.  We are excited about providing the opportunity for more students to participate in the arts!  Our seventh and eighth grade students will receive instruction in a co-teaching format.  We will continue to provide the fifth and sixth grade students with early instrumental instruction to insure the continuation of our instrumental program.
